My playlists you should listen to
I love creating playlists, even if they make no sense to anyone else. They make sense to me and I hope I can get the vibes across. Music is something essential to my core. When I couldn’t make sense of my feelings or understand the world around me, I would turn to music. It was a distraction and a coping mechanism, but more than anything it was a vessel for my emotions.
I make monthly playlists of the songs I listen to the most that month. It’s a reminder of everything I have felt and gone through over the years. I have almost 7 years' worth of monthly playlists and each playlist feels like a time capsule back to that period.
Here are a few of my playlists that may fit a vibe you’re craving at this time of year.
I am a rom-com girl until the day I die, so obviously I need a playlist where I can pretend I’m the leading star of a hit rom-com. Just waiting for Andrew Garfield to be cast as the love interest….(just kidding!!)
Exactly what it says, soft fall core!!!!
I made this playlist back when I was in my running era and had healthy shins, but still listen to it regularly while walking or working out. Elite running vibes here though.
This is one of my go-to playlists for when I’m getting ready to go on a date or grab drinks with friends. Perfect to blast while doing my makeup!! I was way too young to do that when these songs came out so at least I can do that now.
Made this while I was feeling nostalgic for 2013 when I would spend hours on Tumblr and make posts about the million fandoms I was part of at that age. Very Lana Del Rey, vans, and flower crown coded.
I have a deep desire to learn how to DJ and make a side gig out of playing at parties and clubs on the weekend. Will keep you all updated if that happens but that’s what inspired this playlist.
Because….hello!!! I’m just a girl!
If you know me….you know I LOVE period dramas and I especially love Bridgerton (season 2, Kanthony foreverrrr). I made this back when it first came out. I was in college and I would lock in when this playlist came on. Something about classical music and instrumentals that makes my mind think that I am a young lady about to have my debut.

The poet Nikki Giovanni passed away recently so I wanted to share a portion of the poem “Walk Down Park”
ever, did you ever, sit down
and wonder about what freedom’s freedom
would bring
it’s so easy to be free
you start by loving yourself
then those who look like you
all else will come
naturally
You can read the full poem here.
See ya!
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next week!
